Abstract

This study explores the relationship between planning and control sophistication and organizational performance. As businesses navigate increasingly complex environments, the need for effective planning and control mechanisms becomes paramount. This research identifies various dimensions of planning and control sophistication, including strategic alignment, resource allocation, and real-time monitoring. Through a mixed-methods approach, comprising quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews, the findings reveal that organizations with higher levels of planning and control sophistication tend to achieve superior performance outcomes. Enhanced decision-making capabilities, improved resource utilization, and greater adaptability to market changes are key benefits identified. The study concludes with implications for managers aiming to improve organizational performance through refined planning and control practices, highlighting the need for ongoing investment in these areas to sustain competitive advantage.
