Abstract

This study investigates how social media platforms influence the development of identity among adolescents aged 13–18. Using qualitative interviews and digital ethnography, the research highlights the dual role of social media as a space for both self-expression and social pressure. Findings suggest that while platforms like Instagram and TikTok foster creativity, they also contribute to anxiety and comparison culture.
