Abstract

This study examines how different leadership styles affect employee engagement in small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Central America. By analyzing survey data from various sectors, the research identifies transformational and participative leadership as key drivers of engagement. The findings highlight that employees are more motivated and committed when leaders foster an inclusive environment and encourage collaboration. This research contributes to understanding effective leadership practices that enhance organizational performance in the context of SMEs.
